Educational Collective SEN: Environmental Education and STEM Teaching Resources

The Educational Collective SEN is an extension of the Responsible Mining, Resilient Communities research funded by the National Science Foundation with the goal of better understanding and addressing the sustainability of artisanal small-scale gold mining. The resources posted on the website include teaching resources that are written in both English and Spanish with the intention of reaching educators around the globe. The website is updated often with additional resources.

Middle school tutoring and science club
With support from the National Science Foundation, we implemented a tutoring and science club program at a Denver middle school that aims to bring STEM “to life.” Every week, students from the Colorado School of Mines Society of Women Engineers run the program with the goal of motivating and preparing students to pursue college studies and careers in the STEM fields.
